The Muslim Council of Britain expresses its relief and hope following the capture of the indicted Bosnian Serb war criminal, Radovan Karadzic.
“This is without doubt an important day for all those who seek justice. We must never forget the terrible events that took place in Bosnia in the early 1990s. The Bosnian people, both Muslims and Croats have long waited for this day. Karadzic must now be sent to The Hague to face trial on war crimes charges. We hope that Ratko Mladic, the Bosnian Serb military commander, will also be captured soon. It has been an international disgrace that they have been able to evade justice for so long,” said Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Britain.[ENDS]
