Electing to Deliver – British Muslims Launch Election Strategy and Programme

The Muslim Council of Britain shall be holding a press conference at 11.30am on Tuesday 19th April 2005 at the Islamic Cultural Centre (Regent’s Park Mosque) to announce the launch of their strategy and programme for the General Election.

The MCB will be launching its policy document, Electing to Deliver, and highlighting the ten key questions on their Voter Card to be asked of all prospective parliamentary candidates.

The MCB will also be revealing their selection of constituencies around the UK with substantial Muslim populations where they shall be holding regional hustings meetings with parliamentary candidates.

The MCB shall also be holding public meetings with leaders of the main political parties, the details of which shall be announced at the launch.

Muslim PPCs from the main political parties will also attend and publicly join the effort to urge British Muslims to participate more actively in mainstream politics.
